Detail
rosie vinyl is the debut studio album by Rosé, released on December 6, 2024. It is Rosé’s first solo project following BLACKPINK’s Born Pink World Tour (2022–2023). The album consists of 12 tracks, with “number one girl,” “toxic till the end,” and “APT.” serving as the title tracks. “APT.” and “number one girl” were pre-released on October 18 and November 22, 2024, respectively.
Thematically, the album is a “breakup album” that explores Rosé’s feelings of heartache, loss, anger, and desire. It provides insight into her navigation of life as a “20-something woman” under heavy public scrutiny. The album title is derived from the nickname Rosé’s close acquaintances call her. She chose Rosie to express her desire for listeners to feel closer to her.
rosie vinyl
rosie vinyl comes in five versions: Jewel Case, Jewel Case (Band cover), and three Vampirehollie Vinyl versions (Red, Clear and Blue). Limited vinyl editions of rosie containing the exclusive bonus track “Vampirehollie” were also released. The album has received positive reviews from critics, who praised its emotional honesty and musical style. It has been described as a “mosaic of the messy, beautiful chaos that defines one’s twenties,” offering a deeper, more open look into Rosé’s thoughts than her K-pop releases. The album has been a commercial success, debuting at number one in several countries and receiving widespread acclaim for its songwriting and Rosé’s vocal performance.
